First Flight

The Mountain Bluebirds fledged from the nest box on July 6th...between 9:15am and 1:42pm.
This photo is the first flight of chick #3. It flew about 200 yards towards a protected grove of pine trees directly behind my cabin. Eventually, all five chicks were being called and rounded up by the adults into this safe area. They have been there for several days. I hear their calls often.....although, less each passing day.
The critter cam inside the nest worked great. Many people enjoyed watching the chicks development online....as did I.

Mountain Bluebird camera

Hello,
Posting my first blog from my micro cabin in Montana. Yes, I think 12x20 qualifies as a micro home. I have so many things of interest to share if you enjoy the outdoors.
First:
Do you like birds and animals ? How about a live Mountain Bluebird cam ? Check out the link.
The live cam only works during daylight hours.....mountain standard time.
